Traffic-control work requires focus, patience, awareness and clear communication. Team members may support construction, roadway, utility and special projects by helping organize safe vehicle movement around active work zones.
Report Ready for Work
Arrive on time, properly dressed and prepared for the scheduled assignment.
Review the Work-Zone Plan
Understand your location, responsibilities, communication method and traffic-control instructions.
Manage Traffic Safely
Remain attentive and help drivers move through or around the work zone according to the project plan.
Communicate With the Team
Stay in contact with supervisors and other team members as site conditions or project needs change.
